VP, Finance and Administration
Hajrina Shehu serves as Vice President of Finance and Administration at ABFE, where she leads the organization’s finance, business planning and budgeting, human resources, administration, and IT. Prior to joining ABFE, Hajrina served as the Chief Financial Officer of Philanthropy New York, a nonprofit membership organization that promotes strategic philanthropy and supports meaningful collaboration and knowledge sharing for funders and their grantees. During her 7 years at Philanthropy New York, she oversaw all aspects of the finances and operations, including development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements, organization’s strategic planning, and managing IT and HR operations. Hajrina has also held leadership roles at Reading Partners, Blake Medical Hospital, and Presbyterian Senior Services. She helped these organizations define their strategic direction, prepare new business plans, and streamline financial and procedural policies to ensure financial stability and organizational growth. Hajrina graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and is a CPA candidate in the state of New York.
