This webinar serves as an extension of a conversation featured at ABFE’s 2024 annual Harambee Conference, entitled, "Black Giving and the Intersection of Strategy, Equity, and Radically Intentional Grantmaking."

The plenary highlighted ABFE’s commitment to its Responsible Philanthropy in Black Communities (RPBC) framework, which emphasizes economic development, economic power, and infrastructural power building as pillars to advancing equity and inclusion in grantmaking. In light of the significant disparities in philanthropic investments in Black-led organizations, this webinar aims to explore pathways to enhance access to and the equitable distribution of financial resources, thereby supporting the capacity and growth of these organizations. The significance of increasing philanthropic investment in Black communities cannot be overstated. By focusing on strategic investments that empower communities to elect their representatives and hold them accountable, we can create a healthier, more just society with shared economic success and a democracy that works for all.

This webinar will provide valuable insights and actionable strategies for funders, donors, and community leaders committed to advancing racial and social equity through intentional and impactful grantmaking.
