As the Community Foundation enters a new era of impact, the incoming President and CEO will be provided the opportunity to expand its scope and activity, guiding the Board and the staff in their grantmaking efforts in Greater Grand Rapids. This will include the development of an aligned strategy to drive philanthropy and grantmaking in the future, increased staff support and growth in their professional roles as leaders within the organization, and, importantly, candid and supportive dialogue with the Board to shape their future philanthropic strategies and their role in supporting the continued success of the Community Foundation.

Grand Rapids Community Foundation seeks a bold leader who is passionate about the role that community foundations play in a time of change and someone who can move the organization forward during what is a significant period transition for the community and organization.

Greater Grand Rapids is composed of dynamic and diverse communities. The President and CEO will work collaboratively with constituents, stakeholders, community leaders, partners, donors, fundholders, Board and staff in a quickly evolving operating environment and rapidly changing region to ensure that everyone can prosper and reach their full potential. This individual is an effective and compelling leader who fosters vibrant teamwork, pursues quality, promotes equity and engenders mutual respect.

The salary range for this position annually is between $235,000 and $265,000 and will be commensurable with experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, group life insurance, a 403(B) plan, long and short term disability and EAP benefits program. The Community Foundation observes nine paid holidays and two floating holidays each year and offers Paid Time Off as well as Sick Leave.
