Chief Development Officer

Zanetta, a Management Consultant and Nonprofit Development & Communications generalist, most recently served clientele through her eponymous consulting firm, ZAP Consults, in roles including Interim Director of Development, Institutional Advancement, Special Events coordination and execution, writing (marketing materials and grant-writing), governance facilitation, and fundraising training. 

Zanetta also served as Director, Development and Communications at East Harlem Tutorial Program (EHTP), where she oversaw the overall Development effort for the agency, including the annual fund and planning phase of a capital campaign. She was responsible for the agency's communications department, re-branding and co-branding EHTP and its charter school, East Harlem Scholars Academy, and its marketing campaign. 

Zanetta was VP, External Affairs for 8 years at Abyssinian Development Corporation (ADC), where she created and implemented the fundraising, strategic plan, and communications strategy.  There, Zanetta planned and implemented fundraising events grossing up to $2 million+, a range of programmatic events, including one that provided groceries to 10,000 families in one day, and managed diversified fundraising budgets of up to $7 million. 

As Program Director at Cause Effective (a nonprofit management assistance provider), Zanetta conducted governance training, facilitated special events workshops, and consulted on resource development and strategic planning for small to mid-sized not-for-profit organizations.

Zanetta also planned a keystone corporate event for American Express at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. 

Zanetta studied in Italy at the United World College and the University of Trieste and graduated from NYU.  She taught at Columbia University's Fundraising Management Program.  Zanetta is Chair of Blackberry Productions, Chair of Cause Effective's Board of Directors, and formerly served on the Boards of Manhattan Country School and Women in Development.  Previously a translator, Zanetta also speaks Italian, French, and Spanish.
